What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Great Saints Orphanage will accommodates over 200 Children , our major problem is that we don’t have enough resources to fund their needs and also provide expenses for the entire Orphanage.

Causes and Consequences of Poverty today

According to the World Bank, more than one billion people today live on less than $1 per day. About 70% of those people are women, and almost half of the population of sub-Saharan Africa survives at that income level. We know that every 3.5 seconds, a child dies in the developing world from poverty-related circumstances.

While on the surface poverty is often defined as a lack of income or assets, in the day-to-day lives of the very poor, poverty becomes a network of disadvantages, each one exacerbating the others. The result is generation after generation of people who lack access to education, health care, adequate housing, proper sanitation and good nutrition. They are the most vulnerable to disasters, armed conflict and systems of political and economic oppression and they are powerless to improve their circumstances. These conditions often leads to dysfunctional family and societal relationships, with low self-esteem, and spiritual darkness. Poverty is a lack of hope.

With time, these less fortunate children will have a chance to live on after receiving the nature they desperately desire. More children will have a home to live in, they will have a right to education, develop their skills, be able to carry on in life, get jobs and have a meaningful life.

E.E.F volunteers build local capacity by providing education and giving support to the less privilege people in our communities with the knowledge, skills and abilities they need to have a better life in the communities. E.E.F volunteers are trained professionals willing to donate their time and expertise to work side-by-side with their communities.

Since 2015, E.E.F staff and volunteers have collaborated with a variety of institutions to design, develop and implement each E.E.F project, working toward E.E.F vision of putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged  through education, aid & relief, rehabilitation, and more.

Our goal at E.E.F is not only to support the less privilege people, but also to encourage and sustain current need provision so that they can continue to live a fulfilled live. Through professional collaboration and personal connection, E.E.F’s volunteers and supporters, along with the local schools work together to achieve the best education possible for those who cannot afford it.

All of us have a role to play in supporting the less privilege to get education and good life, volunteering our time and expertise as health care providers and supporting those who work to make a difference in the lives of others. By harnessing the power of a vital human resource – quality education and health care – we believe that it is possible to break the vicious cycle of poverty and illness endemic to communities.
